Hi Kristoffer, thanks for the bug report. I’ll fix it in the next release. As a temporary workaround I suggest you open the ViewMyCurrency options dialog and click twice on the icon. A secret debug tab should appear and then you can ‘delete all’ preferences. Let me know if you find any more problems.

Bug: Optionbuttons are disabled after I removed all recognized currencies.

Hi,

I removed ALL recognized currencies, but kept my currency (NOK), and now I am not able to add them back. The problem is of course that the extention does not recognize any currencies to change. When I try to fix this, the buttons are disabled. When I press the buttons in the options tab, I see that the button get pressed, but nothing happens. I tried reinstalling the extention, but it seems that the configuration is stored somewhere in firefox.

Great idea. Now, here’s another. As you know, the US uses a different system of measurements than the metric system the rest of the world employs. It’s a pain in the neck to have to remember how to convert all those measurements to and from metric. This becomes a complication when reading webpages from other countries. Now, do you think you could design a metric-american conveter that works just liek your currency converter? Something that would show the conversion as in-line text?

when the prize is presented like this “Price:$14.95″ there will be no conversion since the $-sign isn’t separated from the preceeding text properly with a space.

the new option page is indeed more readable, esp for those with more than a couple “my currencies” identified. however, it only wroks from the statusbar options page, not from the extensions list options page. it seems that both options pages whould be the same in regard to this feature.

and IMHO it would be better if both options pages, accessed either way, were adjustable with a central movable bar (or even if the right hand column “currency details” could be turned off…). i think the complete, readable currencies equivalents is far more important for review than the rather sparce summary of data that’s in the right hand “currency details” column…

hi, i like the “highlight changes made” feature and i think it should not only be a debug feature, but it should be on by default (forgetting that VMC is on can be (and was already) very confusing for me, too). how about making it look a bit nicer, i think a yellow textmarker effect might look nice (and maybe a grey one for the original text). only a suggestion though. regards, rh.

it would be cool to provide a link to a page you could design with a bunch of different currentcies listed, say 100 of $, AUD, GBP, etc etc etc — for testing / visualizing how this fine extension works.

it would help marketing, help people “catch on” etc.
