Bug: Problem with US to ZA Rand

There seems to be a problem with US to ZA Rand.
Instead of the Dollar exchange rate I get a one to one which is incorrect.

Looks like I’m not doing anything useful today but here is another “bug” thing: $0.01 is converted to €0.00. Could be some theoretical discussion on how this should be converted ($0.01 is not €0.01) but it’s certainly not €0.

Another small bug report in version 0.386.

I added the UK currency in my source currency list in the option screen but it was already in the list. Result: got some error on how to change the symbols instead of a message saying that the UK currency was already in the my currencies list.

Two solutions: remove the used currencies from the complete currency list of change the error notification saying that this currency is in the my currencies list.

Another strange bug thing in your 0.384 release. I have 2 “my currencies”: Euros and Pounds but the webpage isn’t update when I click the signs at in the status bar. I have to click (selection is changed to the next currency in the list) and reload the webpage to see the result. Haven’t tested if this issue is solved in the 0.385 release or not.

Me again… with a small feature request.

Could you change the HTML to force the space between the currency sign and the numbers with the (non braking space) character? This would force the currency sign to stay with the numbers while a normal space will brake the whole thing at the end of a line.

I downloaded version 0.384 with the auto update function, restarted Firefox and went through the setup process.

If you check the options dialog afterwards (I turned the conversion on in the tray) all the currencies are set to NaN but the values are converted:

“The Lisa was first introduced in January 1983 (announced on January 19) at a cost of €0.0000000000 ($9,995) US (€0.0000000000 ($19,000) in 0.0000000000 € (2005 dollars)).”

Looks like a small bug to me… could you add some kind of currency updating right after the setup process? I waited 3 minutes but the list isn’t updated yet.

Claes: Sorry to hear it isn’t working. Could you try the latest alpha again? If that doesn’t work could you follow the steps described above to submit a detailed bug report. I’d like to fix your problem!
