great extension!

Unfortunately, the symbol you use for Japanese Yen is different from what is commonly used – the commonly used symbol is the fullwidth Yen sign U+FFE5, while I *think* ViewMyCurrency parses the halfwidth one. Perhaps you may want to add the fullwidth one too. To see an example, try visiting http://amazon.co.jp

Nice plugin! Thanks for the great work.
I also second Kim Ludvigsen’s suggestion that there should be an option for the local amount to be displayed in brackets after the original amount.

Very nice extension. But I would actually prefer it the other way round. When I read an english text, I’m thinking in english, so an amount in danish currency is not expected. It would be nicer if the original amount was mentioned first, and the local amount in the brackets.

And a little correction regarding danish currency. The short form should be kr. and a space. Like:
the amount of $81 (kr. 500).

I was thinking about making a popup tooltip that highlights my new item in the statusbar and explains that you can left and right click it. Do you think this would help? (it would only appear once)

If you make click on the status bar (where your currency is display) you disable it.

I like the idea of hiding it or removing it from the status bar. Also, another option I would like to have is disable it temporarily, The extensions seems to run a little slow when dealing with very large pages.

Kokojumbo: I think I’m using the correct unicode character (20A8) for MUR but it seems that it appears as Rp in some fonts. I’ll look into it.
